Jason captured these precious pics several weeks ago...

Can you tell that Ellie lights up everytime she sees her daddy! Seriously, when he walks in the room, she lights up like a Christmas Tree...brighter even! I love that she does this...it makes time stand still in our home! I love that she's 100% Daddy's girl...and I'm so thankful that she's got that extra chub, because she's also 100% Mommy's girl!

Some Elina Moments...

Gotta love the Squeak and Scrunchy Nose!!!

Elina loves to pull on her socks...Often I'll find her rolling around with sock in hand/still on foot, and yet she's trying to get at something else...like her blocks...

While Jason was in Elina's room with her (watching her play in her crib) he called for me to come see this (so of course I grabbed the camera on the way)...

(gotta love the fake cough in that one!)

Excuse the precious little burp at the beginning of this one (yes, we thing everything she does is precious!)...We are quite intrigued with this milestone since she is just starting to pull up at 6-6 1/2 months old (these videos are a few weeks old)...

Yummy Chubby Legs...

While she was playing several weeks ago (the next few posts will constist of older pics), I noticed that Ellie's onesie was all bunched up in her bouncer...which showed off her yummy chubby legs!

Notice how the chub just rolls over her would be knee cap...Lana pointed this out to me a long time ago saying it was her favorite roll on Ellie...

Elina didn't smile much, I think she was wondering why in the world we had her outside in the cold. We had our pictures scheduled for 5:00 last Sunday clueless that the cold front was going to hit at about 4:00! Our friend Kristie took about 15 QUICK shots and then we ran back inside!

Cup of Tea!?

One morning a couple of weeks ago, just before church, I sat Elina at her little table to take some pictures. She sat in her little chair just like a big girl...hard to believe she was only 6 1/2 months at the time! She was very interested in the place setting that has been sitting there, just waiting for her since she was born. Jason and I look forward to many many tea parties and other special times with her around this little table!

This is my favorite picture...I love that her little legs are too short to even dangle yet, they just stick straight out! I'm going to try to remember to "recreate" this pose periodically over the next year or so...It'll be fun to watch her grow.

Sweet Girl...

After she was done playing with her ribbon (or should I say, after she feel over and the ribbon was no long within arms reach) I caught this on video. No this isn't necessarily a milestone moment...just a clip of our little baby girl being precious as ever! (enjoy the background noise...it was the dishwasher!)

Later that day...we were getting ready to leave and as I was doing my makeup in the kitchen mirror (better lighting in the kitchen!), and I notice little missy doing this...(can you guess the background noise!?! It was Jason's spin tooth brush!)...

Notice how fussy she got towards the end!? Yep that's about it! Trust me...we count that as a blessing daily!

Christmas Wreath...

Mrs. Brenda from church made this beautiful wreath for us since it was our first Christmas in our first house!...isn't that so sweet! Jason and I finally found the perfect spot for it...as you can see it is accenting a clock that is hanging in our living room. Jason won't let me put a battery in it since it clicks so loudly, so I'm very glad to be getting some use out of it!!

Mrs. Brenda wrapped the wreath so beautifully in a black trash bag (wink wink...she made a joke about it!), and this Christmas ribbon tied the bag...very pretty!

Anyway...Ellie got a hold of the ribbon and absolutely loved it! I know you aren't supposed to let babies/children play with ribbon longer than 7 in, but I just couldn't take it from her since she got such joy out of it. I just made sure to be in the room with her...Later on I cut it and put the pieces in her box of toys...

Peeking around the Corner...

Ready for Winter...

Since I'm a huge fan of good deals and not paying full price for anything...I was one of those crazy shoppers that was out way too early on Black Friday! I was glad I went...I would have missed out on this adorable winter coat for Ellie! While we do especially love her new boots, they just won't stay on her feet. So they'll have to go back, and we'll have to double up on socks for now.

This was Elina's last day as a five month old! And since I have a special 5 mo old page just for "Daddy's Girl" in my beautiful pre-made scrap book (Thank you again Molly Beth)...we had a little photo shoot...
