Swingin' and Singin'

Thank you Aunt Stacy and Mrs. Debbie for my swing! I have so much fun in it and especially enjoy watching the pretty mobile go round and round...the sweet music is soothing too! I love you and can't wait to see you! Love Elina!

She's So Sweet!

Sweet Sweet Smiles

For the last three mornings I've woken up to such sweet smiles and wished I had my camera next to me so that I could show the world! So today after I feed Elina I decided to make a run for it to grab the camera knowing that the smiles would only last so long. I did get a little on video, but it just wasn't the same...I'll keep the camera out for tomorrow morning and see what we can get! It's such a joy to wake up to such sweet smiles and know that she's smiling because she's happy to see me bacause she knows that I'm going to make her belly happy! :)

Elina

Happy 1 Month Birthday Baby Girl!
We are so very blessed and thankful that God picked us to be your parents! You are so precious and it's a joy to have you in our lives! We can't believe you are already a month old! Watching you grow and change is bitter sweet...your new "tricks"...smiling, eye contact, cooing...are so much fun, but it's all happening so fast! We love you so much and pray God's richest blessing over your little life!

Uncle Tommy

Honoring Uncle Tommy...
Burkburnett renamed the street in front of the Fire station on Wednesday the 18th. We were able to make it for the unveiling of Tommy Thornton Way! Tommy was so faithful in serving Burkburnett and surrounding communities, so we were so thankful to see him honored in this way! Jason's mom (Nana) gave a great speech and then the family removed the veil and we all got to see the new sign!

Snap Shots

Having fun with Mommy and Daddy...
So I noticed Elina in the mirror the other day...She was all curled up on my chest and I just thought about how tiny she was and how soon that would change (she's already grown so much...8lbs at her 2 week checkup...and now she's 4 weeks old). So I decided to try to take a picture of us so I would remember how tiny she is right now. It didn't really work, but daddy came home soon after and found us playing in the bathroom and helped us take pictures. After a few snapshots of us, Daddy wanted in on the action and we got some fun shots! These pics made a great collage and the perfect Father's Day gift.
(Ellie was 2 1/2 weeks old in these pics...I'm a bit behind on posting!)

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Daddy...(a week later!)
We had such a great day and the proud daddy very much enjoyed his first Father's day!

Sweet Moments with Elina...

Morning Fun...
I snapped some pics this morning and ended up with some really precious shots...I have to say I'm having so much fun with this little beauty (despite the sleep deprivation) :)

Elina's first day at church...6 days old...she slept the entire time! (don't worry, we didn't pass her around) Jason has been saying for months now that he was going to take Elina up with him during the closing song...how precious to see that desire come to fruition as the proud new daddy held his baby girl as if he was a father for years...so laid back...he thoroughly enjoyed showing off his precious baby girl! I'm pretty sure he's going to have her up there every Sunday for the next 18 years!
Her little fingers were so wrinkly just a few day ago...they've filled out now and I'm quickly realizing that she's growing up before my very eyes! Every says it happens so fast and as I'm understanding that more and more each day, I'm trying my best to hang on to these fleeting moments. Thank you Lord for each sweet sweet moment!
I can't get enough snuggle time! I know I'm not supposed to hold her all the time, but knowing that it's going to be over with so very soon...it's hard to find the balance!

Our New Home

I added pictures to our previous post showing our new home...everything is just about finished...I didn't take any pics of the kitchen since it's the last room to be completed. Jason plans on putting the floor down this week with some friend of ours...Yea!!!
